Also for Planting New Hedges

Our stone wool modules also ensure healthy growth when planting hedges.

In Kokkedal, our solution was chosen specifically because the area's rather clay-rich soil proved to be a challenge. BOXofGREEN creates optimal growing conditions and keeps the root balls of hedge plants moist throughout the establishment phase using natural rainwater—significantly reducing the need for artificial irrigation.

When planting a hedge with BOXofGREEN, the modules are placed at the bottom of the trench, and the hedge plants are positioned directly on top. Soil and growth medium are placed around the sides of the root ball to provide nutrients and keep the plants in place. Typically, watering is needed just 2–5 times over the first two years, depending on rainfall. The roots will quickly establish themselves in the moist stone wool and begin to grow naturally—and from then on, the plants largely take care of themselves.
