Support for Large Trees

On Boulevarden in Vejle, a long row of linden trees stands in the central median. Although they have been there for many years, they are still struggling to survive, as the terrain causes surface water to drain away quickly. As a result, the trees rely on artificial irrigation every year in order to thrive.
Our method of supporting the trees is quite simple: four loose BOXofGREEN batts are buried around each selected tree. The batts help the tree absorb and retain rainwater, which strengthens the root system and significantly reduces the need for artificial watering—from many waterings each year to just three in 2024. The batts are placed along the major roots, and the installation is carried out as gently as possible to avoid damaging the root network.
Even after the first growing season, the results are clear—the trees supported by BOXofGREEN batts already show significantly longer shoot growth compared to those still relying on traditional watering without batts.
